AliExpress: First Impressions
While Alibaba sells in bulk to vendors, AliExpress seems to cater more towards the individual with the basic "buy it now" button. It accepts worldwide currencies, and seems to ship pretty much everywhere.
The prices on AliExpress don't seem to be AS good as Alibaba for some items, but you won't have to set up a business or have conversations with suppliers. That will be an instant win for most people.
While I did see a category for food on Alibaba, AliExpress does not carry food - it instead focuses on every day items you could theoretically turn around and sell, and not have to worry about the shelf-life of your product.
Overall seems to be a solid site, and I look forward to purchasing from them to sell items locally. I just saw a pack of fake eyelashes.... it's 100 boxes.... I want to go around sticking them to everything....
