Avoid the scam: Survey Directories

I have seen a LOT of claims about making vast sums of money online doing surveys. I advocate doing them, but you can realistically expect to make about 100+ a month doing them; not thousands. There is one person on InstaGC who must never leave her computer. I have personally witnessed her cashing in her weekly bonus which appears in the chat box. She earns well over $1000 a month. She is answering a LOT of questions, and I can guarantee what she isn't doing is using survey directories.

What is a survey directory? If you've done a web search for how to make money online then you've probably seen sites claiming that you could make thousands of dollars online per month. The funny thing about that statement is that THOSE sites are the ones earning thousands of dollars a month. They do this through referral links and trickery.

If you've read one of my blog posts then you'll have seen that I leave my referral links peppered throughout the posts, like the one above for InstaGC; I do this hoping you'll click on the link and sign up. By doing so, you are letting the survey company know I am the one who convinced you to sign up, which usually nets me a small amount of money. In the 3 months I have been doing this I have had maybe 2 people actually use my referral link to sign up and over 300 clicks.

Why don't people sign up? I would like to think it's because I'm honest about survey sites and don't go along with or further inflate the false numbers everyone else is throwing out. Survey Directories make amazingly false claims hoping you'll click on one of their referral links and sign up. So, yes, you CAN earn "up to" thousands of dollars every month if you make a misleading website and go out of your way to trick people, but that isn't me.

Some of the more well known survey directories are:

  • SurveyMoneyMachines

  • SurveyCompare

  • SurveyMomma

  • SurveySheep

  • PanelPayDay

  • SurveyDownline

  • OnlineSurveyDirectory

There are many others, with more popping up every single day. That's one of the reasons I made this website; there are amazing opportunities to make money online or work from home, and unfortunately there are even more scams. I think most people believe that earning real money online is a myth, and that signing up for sites will get you caught up in identity theft.

I only endorse sites that I personally use. In the years I've been using most of these sites the worst thing I've had happen is my junk mail folder is full. Avoid any site with claims that seem too good to be true, and if you are curious about a specific site then look through my blog; i have done reviews of many of the most trusted survey/work from home sites.
