Crowdology: An Honest Review

I was really excited to get started on Crowdology because of the payout; they claimed the surveys paid out $10, which I knew was a bald-faced lie. Still, even if they were a few dollars each it would still be worthwhile. I went to the website, and started the signup process.

I was done fast, within minutes, and after verifying my email address it directed me to take my first survey. It did the basic survey landing page, where they ask you a few questions to "find an appropriate survey for you", which I answered. Over, and over, and over again. it finally matched me with what it claimed was a suitable survey, which wasn't, but I answered honestly. After 15 minutes I assumed that the answers I was giving were what they were looking for, and after a few more questions it said, "The next few questions are for classification purposes only" so I answered them honestly.

After all that time it told me that the survey had filled up. It happens sometimes, though they could have told me before I took the entire survey. I tried another survey, this time it allowed me to get to 99% before saying I didn't qualify. I've had it happen before, no worries - Let's try for #3. Same result.

Either they are having massive problems with their survey partners (I doubt it) or this is another of those classic sites that get's it's credentials verified by third party rating services like the Survey Police and then starts screwing over it's site members. I did some further searching and the site says their surveys are worth $0.40 and UP TO $10.00 which has probably happened once.

At this point, after almost 2 hours of filling out my profile and not getting any survey past 99% complete, I have to vote that this site is a scam. If you are lucky enough to have made money off of them, then I wish you the best of luck and hope that you still can. It is my opinion that any site that allows it's survey partners to let someone get to 99% completed on a survey before telling them it's full or that they don't qualify is just getting us to take the surveys for free.

If you want to see for yourself, head over to Crowdology and give it a try. As always,. I will revisit the site in a few weeks (or even in a few days if I'm bored) and give it another chance. For right now, though, I would stick with the tried and true survey sites.
