DHgate: Signing up and what to expect

Reselling Chinese products is one of the fastest growing ways to make money online, and believe it or not major retailers have been doing it forever. With the advent of personal online stores, selling your items through amazon, and dropship, we have more options than ever to make money in the resale market.

Who do I buy bulk items through? I've done previous blog posts on Alibaba and AlieExpress, and now it's time for DHgate. You can choose to register with the site as a consumer, supplier, or reseller.

The site is loaded with different items, all foreign made, at reasonably cheap prices. I chose to sign up as a consumer on this site, just to see if I could get near the same bulk item prices as other sites where I signed up as a reseller. Here's an example:

A spinner hook is something I use often for small trout, bass, and panfish here in Kentucky. All of them, no matter the brand, and built about the same. The only difference you find is hook quality, which at the end of the day if it's pointy it will work. I can get a 100 count lot for $42.00.

If I go to Amazon and look up the same type of item, I came across this set of spinner hooks. That's a big difference in quantity and price for a very similar product. I would almost guaruntee, by the name alone, that this is a chinese reseller.

So, as you can see, even as a consumer purchasing these items I am recieveing a pretty substantial discount through DHgate. Might be something worth looking into.
