Fall 2020 Camping Gear

It's time to start going over all the gear I've found to help you have a great Fall camping trip. I've included Amazon links so you can see the reviews and product features, and full disclosure I am an Amazon Associate; If you decide to buy something it helps out my blog, but don't feel pressured in any way to buy anything. Let's dive right in!

GoPro Hero7 Black

Waterproof, eliminates camera shake, voice control; what doesn't this thing have? Whether you're looking for video or stills, the Hero7 has you covered. Why not take some pictures while camping and upload them to Shutterstock to make some extra cash?

If you love fishing then get your catches on video and start a YouTube channel, or show your camping setup and gear list. The options are staggering, and since my blog is also about making money then why not combine recreation with a little business this Fall?

RunningSnail Weather Radio

A crank power radio that has a built in flashlight, 1000 mAh battery to keep your phone charged, and gives you peace of mind for incoming storms - all in a package small enough to put in a pocket.

It's good to be prepared, especially when being prepared gives you an am/fm radio in the same package. Crank it up for a minute and you'll get about 10 minutes of radio time, or leave it in the sun and let the power bank charge it's self. A lightweight, multi-function option to keep your pack light this fall.

Ivation Battery Shower

Let's be real - a day of hiking or kayaking can lead to an odious funk in the tent. Ivation's portable shower is an amazing gadget; all you need is some water and a five gallon bucket. Rig up a shower using a tarp and something to keep your feet out of the mud and you have a perfect way to get clean, and with a weight of under 2 pounds it's a no brainer.

It can also be used in power outages in conjunction with a pot of warm water - no more cold showers.

Wolf Walker Pop-Up Tent

If you love camping but hate setting up the tent then Wolf Walker has you covered. Rated for 3-4 people, it would be better for 2 people and their gear. It has 2 windows and 2 doors to let the Fall breeze in, and takes very little effort to set up and stake down.

Waterproof and windproof, the only draw back is that it is a little large to carry around, but it can be easily strapped to the outside of a pack.

Intex Ultra Lounge

Inflatable furniture is a thing, and it can be extremely comfortable. Imagine you've got your campsite set up, whether it's in a campground or in the middle of no where, and you are the only kid on the block with a recliner. Now what if I told you it weighed about 7 pounds.

Waterproof top, sides, and bottom mean you can put it anywhere, though I would recommend a small tarp underneath to keep it from getting too dirty.

Tire Table

If you are looking for a cooking/work surface when you take your vehicle camping then look no further. Instead of packing out a card table just affix this to a tire and you've got a table capable of holding 50 pounds.

Use it to cook, clean fish/game, a changing table for a baby - it's a table, so use it like one.

Earth Pak Dry Bag

Whether your at a campground or miles away from everything at a fishing camp it's important to keep dry things dry. Keep any electronics, spare clothes, food items, etc. safe inside until you need them. It can double as a food hanging bag to keep bears from coming into camp at night.

Another great feature for canoe/kayak campers is that it comes with a shoulder strap that can double as an attachment strap so you don't lose it in case you capsize.

These are just some of my finds for a more enjoyable camping trip this Fall. If you're new here then check out The Blog! where I write near-daily posts about passive income, working from home/online, my hobbies, home repairs, and much more.
