Fiverr: How does it work?
Updated: Feb 28, 2020
If you want to make money online then you have to try as many sites as possible to find the one that fits your goals. I enjoy writing, comedy, and creative endeavors. I tried Fiverr, and I think it would be a good fit for anyone who has a skill.
Fiverr allows you to post up small jobs that you can complete, i.e. write short story or draw a picture, relatively quickly and get paid five dollars for. These 'gigs' are then posted up on an online billboard where potential buyers can browse the gigs available.
This is much different than other sites, where people ask you to complete a certain project. Instead you can create multiple gigs that showcase your talents; like 'I will write you a funny poem' or 'I will design your book cover'. I find this method much easier to deal with, in that there are not 50,000 people all competing to be the first to reach a potential buyer. You post it up and sit back and relax.
Obviously, the more skill it requires to complete your $5 task then the more likely people will ask you to complete a gig. My first project on offer was 'I will write you a funny poem for any occasion' and I'm sure you can guess exactly how many I've sold to date. If you are good at something and can turn it into a five dollar gig, then Fiverr may be just the site you need.
