House is now under contract!

It only took 24 hours before we got an offer above asking price, and pending a home inspection the house is under contract to be sold. It's been a crazy last few weeks, so I decided to head out fishing this morning. Only had one bite, and the fish jumped and spit out the bait before I could get the hook set. Not a wasted day by any means, as I got in 3 hours of fishing before the rain set in and another hour of fishing in the rain before I called it a day.

Dick's Sporting Goods has a decent sale, by 6 get 2 free, so I got a new Panther Martin and some top water baits for cloudy days. I've also finally picked out my Kayak, but I won't write to much about it until I actually get it and can do a real review. I'm also thinking of getting a YouTube channel for my fishing started, but we'll have to see how things go. Despite how busy I've been the last few weeks I'll be even busier in the weeks to come.

The house we're moving into was built around 1916, and while well maintained it is pretty dated. We'll be doing a complete bathroom remodel and upgrading the kitchen, along with necessaries like a new roof and trimming back the trees on the property. I'll get to have a full blacksmithing shop and maybe even a place to make baits, along with a real home for my woodworking tools. It's pretty exciting.

I digress; the point of this article was to show how fast some houses around the country are selling. If you've ever thought of selling, now is the time (depending on your area) and a quick search of Zillow will let you know how the market is working in your area. It is a seller's market here, so houses are selling at or above list cost. A lot of that extra stimulus money seems to be getting spent on housing, and with rates low it makes sense to borrow an amount that allows you to make the payment you want. Getting locked in at these rates now is imperative.
