OneOpinion: An honest review

I have signed up for so many survey sites that I honestly dread doing it; OneOpinion is the first survey site where I didn't want to claw my eyes out while signing up. They use a "virtual assistant" (chat bot) to guide you through the sign-up process. There is a verification period of 3-5 days, so they say, but I was verified within 2.

Surveys are instantly available, as with most other sites, and while OneOpinion seems very professional and laid out well, in the end it is the same as every other survey site. It is a portal through which you access survey company's surveys, and OneOpinion acts as a third party. I took a few surveys, and I wasn't overly impressed.

The first thing I always look for is an "estimated completion time"; while they are never right, it gives me an idea of the length of time required. You have to get into the survey to find this out. There is no upfront mention of the survey's rewards, and after 3 surveys back to back it looks like the standard pay out if $0.50. For that payout on 15-20 minute surveys I might as well stick with InstaGC.

There is a minimum withdrawal amount of $25, which is much higher than most other survey sites. Depending on the number of surveys you do per day, it could be some time before you are able to cash out your rewards.

There is a major plus sides to this site; the verification process. OneOpinion has an impressive system for guaranteeing that only you can get your rewards. Through address verification done without waiting on snailmail to their 2 part authentication system using texts, there is almost no way that someone can get into your account and take your personal information or accrued earnings.

While $0.50 for a survey is slightly lower than the standard, I'll have to keep doing surveys on this site and see how often there are higher paying ones. As always, I will update this post with any new information I find.
