Survey Junkie Review: Why I stopped using it

Updated: Mar 4, 2020

I take surveys and watch videos on multiple sites; an amazing way to make money is to leave as many of the video players going at once as you can. However, when it came to surveys I was going to one site only: Survey Junkie. On occasion I would stumble across a $2 survey or better, get all the way to the end of the survey and THEN get told I was rejected. The first time that happens you want to get pretty angry. The 50th time that happens you are done.

When I started Survey Junkie I was all in - the site was easy to navigate, there were many surveys available, and each one showed an estimated time; so many were in the 2-10 minute range that I thought I could sit back and make $20 in a few hours. Here's the problem with Survey Junkie - you don't get prequalified for the surveys.

They have you fill out a profile, ask you tons of questions so that they can match surveys to you, and then never used the information given. You will usually get one of 2 messages; either that the survey wasn't a good match or that there was an error (usually because you went too fast through the survey). I got turned down for so many surveys that my account was banned by the Survey Junkie staff. It took 8 e-mails for them to review the case and see I hadn't done anything wrong, turn my account back on, and admit that the error system blamed me for going too fast when I hadn't even been approved for the survey in the first place. Weird.

I have been using Survey Junkie for over a year, and have made just about $100 in $10 cash outs ( the minimum you can get a gift card in ). I've probably completed $300 in surveys, just to get told after answer 20 minutes worth of questions that I didn't qualify - which wears on your patience. There are no other ways to earn money on the site; just surveys. It is a valid way to make money online, but not one that I'm willing to endorse on my site. There are plenty of other survey sites that pay better and are more reliable.

exactly, that's why i use instaGC as my main survey site now. 70 cent surveys that you are almost always qualified for, but if you're not it will redirect quickly to another opportunity.

I can totally relate to that! There are german sites like 'Entscheiderclub' and others. I used them for a bit but it becomes quite repetitive. I mean IF I have to type in every single car what type of car I like, what soda etc. why the f can't they just save that info and fill out the surveys themselves? But yeah, I had the same issue as you. most surveys were like 30 cents for 5 minutes.

so I'd wait for the few ones were you go like 2 euros for 15 minutes so it's worth my time. it let's me then do at least 5 minutes if survey stuff before telling me that I can go f myself (just told in a more indirect way). same…
