Ways to save money/make money online during the Coronavirus Pandemic

The world has changed pretty fast; it was bound to happen, as history repeats its self. There have always been events like this, throughout history, but for some this will be the first major event of their lifetime. I have come up with a list of things you can do right now to either make money or save money while we deal with this new hurdle life has thrown us. Let's jump right in.

Food:

People are hoarding. It's what happens when the grocery store shelves start emptying. Panic buying sets in, and before you know it you don't have the things that you want or need. You can live without toilet paper, you cannot live without food. If you are still able to go to the store then I really recommend you buy some seeds from the garden center. They are cheap, and as long as you have some basic gardening tools then you can begin to grow some of your own food.

Is this necessary? I can't tell you the answer to that. It's just as unthinkable that there may be a food shortage as it was to think a pandemic would shut down all the dining rooms in restaurants in some states. Why take the risk? If you don't have a backyard then buy pots and potting soil. There are countless websites about gardening indoors if that's the only option you have available.

So what if all of this blows over in a few weeks? Worst case scenario is that you have some fresh vegetables and had something to do during the pandemic. Growing your own food is a skill that every single human being should do at least once.

If you have access to areas where you can trout fish, then you can also catch some food. Trout are delicious, often times stocked in local lakes/ponds/streams, and all it takes is a fishing license and some basic gear. There are also many other species of edible fish available to be fished around the world.

Education:

Now is the time to learn. If you are stuck inside due to self quarantine, no longer go out on weekend nights, or are out of school right now due to closures then there is no excuse not to pick up a book and educate yourself. Many people don't have as many books as some of us (Our household currently has a library of 600 books) but there are still ways you can be reading about a very broad range of subjects. Aside from the survey sites I have listed on my web page, there are other options for earning while you hang out. One of my recent successes was my dive into the world of creating eBooks. I am NOT someone who went to school for this. Instead of college, I joined the Marine Corps. I did not get very good grades in school. It isn't hard to write an eBook, but it does take patience. It also helps to have a strong knowledge of the subject matter. Get a pencil and paper, or a laptop, or go sit at the desktop PC you haven't used in a while. Write down some ideas and just get started. That really is all it takes. There are other articles about writing an eBook that you may find useful in this blog.

You can sign up for an at home customer service job, create YouTube videos and monetize them using Google Adsense or other advertising companies, or even transcribe videos. There are so many possibilities to earn money online that it can be a little overwhelming; that's why I created my website and the articles in this blog.

I write a new article daily, so check back often and see all of the new ways I've discovered to make money online or from home. The biggest piece of advice I can give you: Just Start.
