What's been happening? Update: 7/13/20

I try my best to write a post every day or so, but here lately it's been almost impossible. First, our internet went out and it took Spectrum (aka The Devil) days to get out to us and figure it out. Once that was taken care of we thought we would get a break for a few days, but we completed the sale of the house and have less than 30 days to clear out. We're using that time to pack and work on projects at the new house.

Cass and I are doing a simultaneous remodel of the bathroom and kitchen (I'm a glutton for punishment) and we're ripping out lathe and plaster walls, tile floors, and getting ready to move some walls. It'll be worth it, though, as our upstairs bathroom will more than double in size. Not a bad trade off for the work we'll have to do.

I've got to put down new hardwood in the dining room, paint the exterior, figure out what we're doing with the roof, and a bunch of other projects that will likely stretch on into infinity. That's part of owning a home though; the projects never really stop, you just get breaks between them sometimes.

In other news, I'm considering starting a YouTube channel about fishing in Kentucky - there's lots of videos about fishing, but I'm wanting to focus on fishing throughout the state and even the surrounding states if I can make it happen. It's one of the ways I've talked about in my blog to make money, and anyone who has the ability and energy to make it happen should. Just make sure you focus on a topic, give real and valuable information, and don't be afraid to be yourself.

I changed my mind again (big surprise, eh?) about which kayak I'm buying. I've decided to go with the Pelican Catch PWR 100, a hybrid vessel that has a 360 degree swivel seat, transom motor mount, and the ability to be paddled at fair speed with a kayak paddle. It's basically a little boat, and I love the features it offers. The only problem is that it's sold out everywhere it seems, and i'll likely have to wait to buy it until the dealers get restocked.

Still taking surveys on PrizeRebel and instaGC; the surveys are becoming more plentiful as people are going back to work in some places and I want to save up to buy my trolling motor and battery along with some other essentials. Maybe we'll get another stimulus payment and I'll be able to get everything I need in one swoop.

I'm going to do my best to get back to writing at least a small article every day, and get some pictures of the remodel to go along with it. Until next time!
