Work from Home: Surveys Part 2

Well, I did it... I should have taken an hour off in the middle to stretch and exercise, but we learn and move on. I did 8 hours, back to back, of surveys and what I came up with is this: If you don't live in an expensive city, and you don't mind 8 hours in front of a computer screen, you could earn a paycheck taking surveys... Literally 1 paycheck all month. I'm going to break down each hour, but keep in mind that I took some longer surveys and some shorter ones; the numbers could go up or down some depending on the surveys you get.

6:45-7:45 I got onto instaGC and was able to complete 3 shorter surveys while not being qualified for 4 others. Each of the surveys was a guaranteed $0.70, so I ended up making $2.10. That isn't anywhere near what most of us make at our jobs, but it's something.

I started my video players as well, both the instaGC curated video playlist and the PrizeRebel Hideout.tv player.

7:45-8:45

Got in 4 instaGC surveys for $2.80. I didn't qualify for 2 surveys.

8:45-9:45

Another 4 instaGC surveys for $2.80. I didn't qualify for 3 surveys.

9:45-10:45

I did the last 4 guaranteed surveys through instaGC, and miraculously wasn't disqualified from any of them. I made another $2.80, and moved on to PrizeRebel.

10:45-11:45

I made a sandwich and ate it while completing only 2 surveys, but they were each around 25 minutes, one for $1.45 and another for $1.25 for a total of $2.70. I was disqualified for 1 survey.

11:45-12:45

Another 2 surveys; one for $1.25 and another for $0.85, and I wasn't qualified for a whopping 6 surveys. Total for this hour was $2.10.

12:45-1:45

Completed 3 surveys; one for $1.25 and two others for $0.60 bringing the hours total to $2.45. I wasn't qualified for 2 surveys.

1:45-2:45

Sprint to the finish, completing 5 short surveys that all awarded $0.60, bringing the hours total to $3.00. I wasn't qualified for 3 surveys.

The video players must be getting a lot of views with everyone out of work right now, so I was only able to get $0.05 from the instaGC player and $0.50 from the Hideout.tv player. Hopefully the sites add some more content soon, and allow the payed-to-watch cap to rise, because these players used to be very lucrative before the epidemic.

I also took advantage of the Microsoft rewards points for searches and quizes along the way and was able to pick up another $0.31 for doing all the available tasks. Not much, but it literally takes just a few minutes.

All total it came to $21.61, which is nothing like it used to be. I can totally understand that more people than ever are taking these surveys to make money from home, but one thing I did see that was missing were the high value surveys. You normally don't qualify for them, but they are there for the right survey taker; they were totally absent from the boards. It makes sense, since the U.S. economy is at a virtual standstill, and hopefully once businesses open back up we'll see those low-hanging-fruit come back to the tree.

So is it worth it? Let's add it up. If you do this 8 hours a day, like a regular 40 hour a week job, then you would make about $475 a month. Like I said, about a paycheck for a month's worth of full-time work. I personally don't want to sit in front of a computer screen like that all day, clicking the same information over and over hoping that someone wants my opinion. So why should anyone do it?

If you are wanting to buy something for yourself that you don't have the money in the budget for, then this is the way to go. I am constantly buying camping gear and fishing lures through Amazon by doing a little bit of work every day. Now for the crazy part: The weekly bonus. On instaGC you get a percentage of the points you earned as a bonus on Sundays. The more surveys you do, the higher your percentage is up to a cap of 5%, and It shows what you cash out for and the quantity in the site-wide chat box. There are a few "pro" survey takers on the site who regularly cash out for hundreds of dollars every week.

If you are interested in taking surveys, and are willing to help out my site, then I would love to become your referral. You keep all the points that you earn, and the sites give me a small kickback for getting you to sign up.
